AXA Corporate Center’s main missions are to:

- Steer the entities in order to ensure the coherence of the strategies, the consistency of the commercial approaches as well as the optimization of the risks and results;
- Defining and coordinating Group policies, different transversal projects and standards, identifying and sharing best practices;
- Supporting the entities in order to help them to grow, to develop their offer, their management and steering standards as well as their risk management.

The head office of AXA Group (GIE AXA), based in La Défense Majunga, gathers the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities according to the Group's strategy and is responsible for managing international projects. The headquarters is composed with over 850 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities).

Department description:

The Investor Relations Department is part of the AXA Group’s central functions. In liaison with Senior Management, the team manages the interactions with institutional financial market participants (investors, financial analysts and rating agencies) and explain all aspects of AXA’s strategy, financial performance as well as M&A and financing operations.

Main purpose:

The internship will allow the candidate to develop a good understanding of the Investor Relations function and interactions with the equity research and investment communities, as well as a good overview of central functions (including finance, strategy, legal, risk management, etc.) at AXA’s headquarters. Following 6 months of internship, the candidate should develop strong analytical and financial communication skills and a solid understanding of financial markets and corporate finance topics.

Main activities:

1) Competitor analysis
- Identify and analyze the major strategic priorities of AXA's main competitors
- Analyze peers’ financial disclosures and major strategic announcements
- Produce a weekly report on the sector (market analysis of AXA and competitors) distributed to top AXA executives

2)Publications from equity analysts
- Monitor analyst publications on AXA and the insurance industry
- Analyze earnings forecasts and valuation drivers Rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch, AM Best)
- Analyze rating methodologies and identify key rating drivers for AXA

3) Financial releases
- Contribute to the preparation of documents related to the Group's performance and strategy, presented by the Senior Management of the Group and intended for the analyst and investor communities

Profil recherché

1) Technical and professional skills
- Good understanding of Corporate Finance and Strategy topics
- Strong analytical skills
- English is essential
- Attention to detail and ability to “step back” and have a big picture view
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; understanding of Bloomberg is preferred
- Adaptability / Flexibility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment

2) Experience
- 2nd / 3rd year student in business or engineering school specializing in Finance / Economics
- Minimum 6 months of prior internship experience
